When it comes to motivation, I’ve observed three types:

  1. Positive — wanting to change or achieve a goal because it will directly benefit your life.
  2. Negative — taking action out of fear or spite (aka. to prove someone wrong.)
  3. Nihilistic — failing to act because you feel like nothing matters.
