This “Vision Board” Alternative Helped Me Achieve 154% of My Money Goals Last Year
It’s scary how well this works.

Ah, 2024 has just begun, and it’s time to set some goals because ya know,
Failing to plan is planning to fail…
And WE are NOT the failing type (lol).
But how shall we do it?
In years past, I’d head down to Barnes & Noble, buy an overpriced journal, and write down five (mostly vague) things I wanted to accomplish in the new year.
Then, I’d put the journal into my bookcase, where it would sit untouched for months.
I *might* glance at it around October and think,
Oh yeah… I was going to do THAT.
Then, I’d put the notebook back on the shelf where all my goals go to die.

Eh, well, maybe next year.
Obviously, THIS is NOT the answer.
The Change
A few years ago, I started doing something different.
The result was that I began doubling my self-employment income every single year.
Last year, I exceeded my “double income” goal by 154% — that’s like double and a half.
And I’m convinced that it’s because of one small change I made in my goal-setting process.
Note: I am using money as an example, but you can use this for anything that is meaningful to you.
The (Starter) Method
The first time I saw a dramatic leap in my income was the year I made my first “vision board.”
I’m not a “glue and scissors” type of gal, so I “cut” images from Pinterest that represented the vibe I was going for in the areas of health, wealth, and fulfillment — then I “pasted” them into Canva.
I also added my income goal for the year in big, sparkly green numbers.
